These are some of the world’s most important historic buildings. The word “acropolis” means highest point. Pathenon which is located in the center of Acropolis was used for storage of blasting powder, (was hit by cannon ball and destroyed by Venetians during 1687 war) the entrance was a memorable gateway called as Propylaea. There is the Temple of Athena Nike in the south of entrance, and at the eastern side of entrance is the temple called Erechtheum. The temple of Athena Parthenos is located at the middle, this is the Temple of Athena The Virgin. All these historic artefacts and statues are now under the care of Acropolis museum situated near the Parthenon. Many tells that the palace was built in early age for this they give some logics but there is no confirm evidence of construction of the palace building on the top of the Acropolis in the earlier ear, and it seems that palace have been built during the later building constructions.
