NICE – BEAUTIFUL COST DESTINATION IN FRANCE

France is big European country with a lot of charm for tourism such as Eiffel Tower and its fashion world. But its beauty is not depends on these, you should try also to explore south sides of France. Nice is the town here will amaze you with its beauty.


In French this city is known as ‘Nice la Belle, meaning in English is “The Beautiful Nice”. This name comes from the unofficial anthem of Nice which has the same title. The city is popular destination among tourists during the summer when fresh and warm sea air and the sun touches the skins and leave pleasant feelings on body. The water of sea near the beach is crystal clear offers a long swimming, boating and water sports.


The surround buildings mostly of orange roof with lined palm trees and behind them the beautiful hills can make holidays so special. Be careful of public beaches because most of them have large flat stones but a few private beaches have added a layer of sand.

Vieux Nice known as the old town located beneath the hill. The area is a maze of streets with beautiful gardens and houses. The town looks gorgeous with its orange, yellow and red colored buildings, especially in daylight when these colors look more beautiful. While view of huge and long road of Promenade des Anglais Cherie with beach side is amazing too.
Adding the other attractions of Nice, France, beside houses, the Colline du Chateau (a ruined castle on Castle Hilee) overlooking the Baie des Anges and harbor offers some great views over the city. Here you can take some good looking snapshot of the city and enjoy panorama views.
Nice, France is famous for its several churches, stylish buildings and art museums such as Biblique Marc Chagall National Museum that is located on the hill Cimiez, while Museum of Asian art, Cimiez, Park Phoenix, Musee Chagall, Musee Matisse are the others building featuring much about history. In the heart of old town is Place Rossetti is located with a bell tower named St Reparate Cathedral and a ceramic tile dome. Promenade de Pailon is the new park in Nice featuring many fountains, the puddles of fountains become like a mirror.  

The local food called Socca and the tuna fish sandwich which is called Pan Bagnat are the popular among tourists. These are the special dishes along with French variety of food. In short the city has much to see and enjoy your holidays. Don’t forget it in your next trip and take it in top of your list.

The Louvre Museum, Top Tourist Attraction in Paris

Having over 35000 pieces of art The Louvre Museum in Paris is world’s most important and famous museum. Originally a royal palace, people who have an interest in art must visit this museum. Statue of Venus of Milo and the painting of Mona Lisa are the most celebrated works of art with original shape available in The Louvre. The history of Louvre Museum Paris stars in the period of 12thcentury when Philippe Auguste built a fortress on the border of the city to protect Paris city from Anglo-Norman. In sixteenth century Louis XIV converted his residence into Louvre, which remained a palace for several centuries. In same era Louvre Museum was established as the Private collection of the King. Famous Mona Lisa painting was purchased and became a part of the Museum. Many of the collections were purchased by different upcoming Kings. Different modern rulers made several expansions in the palace such as King Henri IV built the Grande Galerie, which is over a quarter of a mile long, while Louis XIII completed the Denon Wing construction. During French Revolution, in 1793, the Louvre became a national art museum having private royal collections and fist time opened for public. There are three large wings in Louvre easily accessible entering the museum through the Louvre Pyrimid or via the Carrousel du Louvre. Names of the three wings are Sully, Richelieu, and Denon. On the first floor of Richelieu Wing has some antique collection of decorative arts, with objects such as clocks, furniture, china and tapestries. The Lacemaker from Jan Vermeer and the Virgin of Chancellor Rolin, a 15th century work by the Flemish painter Jan Van Eyck are the other most notable collections at Richelieu Wing. A large collection of sculptures are decorated around two glass covered courtyards named “Cour Puget and Cour Marly” on the ground floor. Many of the sculptures are created in 18thcentury with marbles by Guillaume Coustou. The main attraction of the house is Code of Hammurabi, which is a well-preserved Babylonian law code of ancient Mesopotamia from 1754 BC.

The most visited wing of Louvre Museum is the Denon Wing. Champs Elysees Street, Most Popular Street in Paris, France & Europe

One of the world’s most famous avenues The Champs Elysees is located in Paris, France. It is famous for its high standard of elegant scenery, and impossibly magnificent structures. It runs from the Place the la Concorde to the Place Charles de Gaulle (where the Arc de Triomphe is located).




Two kilometers long The Champs Elysees named after Elysian Fields (means the paradise for good souls). Seventy meter wide this street is decorated with cinemas, cafes, theaters, and luxury shops on both sides at its western end. While near the Place de la Concorde (the East end) street is beautifully arranged with gardens, and fountains. The Elysee Palace is located on Northern side, which is the official residence of the French Presidents since 1873.



During the sixteenth and earlier of seventeenth century the Champs Elysees was only a vast agricultural field till 1616. In 1616, a long tree lined path was created from Palais des Tuileries gardens by Marie de Medici. By the passage of time the road was redesigned and extended made it fashionable place. Street was extended straight to Chaillot hill in 1724. French architect Ignaz Hittorf (known for his redesigning of Place de la Concorde) redesigned and reshape into the current shape in 1838 with installation of fountains, sidewalks, and gas lamps while trees and surrounding parkland were allowed to grow as buildings were constructed to line the avenue. It became one of the most fashionable districts is Paris after becoming the city property.


Today Champs Elysees is the house of fashion and style which consider as symbols of the Paris. The latest redesign of avenue converted the side lanes into pedestrian zones, new trees were planted while for vehicles modern underground parking lots were established.

Champs Elysees is not famous for its five and four stars hotels, restaurants, and fashion shops but also for major celebrations. The New Years Eve and where on 14thJuly the military parades held there. The liberation and WWII victory celebrations, the World Cup football victory were also celebrated on this wide avenue.

Eiffel Tower, Icon of Paris

The icon of Paris, Eiffel Tower is located in the direction of Champ de Mars (a large public green-space) in Paris, France. It probably stands one of the Europe’s top visiting landmarks. Paris tour couldn’t complete without visiting Eiffel Tower.  The mass of iron designed by Gustave Eiffel stands 300 meters (984 feet) tall completed nearly at the end of nineteenth century. At that time it was the tallest structure in the world until 1930, when New York’s Chrysler building surpassed it.

From the top of the tower you can take some spectacular views of Paris. In the lights at the night it looks more spectacular than day light. The tower was erected for the 1889 World’s Fair, held in celebration of the 1789 French Revolution.  Many contemporary artists were feared that this huge object would not fit into the architecture of Paris but critics became silent as two million visitors ascended the tower in year 1889. Today The Eiffel Tower is a symbol of the Paris city.

Eiffel Tower was named after the engineer Alexandre Gustave Eiffel. He was the man who built this marvelous structure, best known for his revolutionary bridge building. The iron framework construction of the New York’s famous statue “the Statue of Liberty” also belongs to him. After every five years a fifty tons of paint used to repaint the Tower. It has three floors. The 1000 feet tall structure containing 2 restaurants, snack bar, and a souvenir shop.

The Eiffel Tower inaugurated on March 31, 1889. About 12000 iron pieces were designed separately and fit together using approximately seven million nails for the exact shape and took more than two years to complete. It wasn’t received much importance from tourists earlier but now it is a beloved symbol of Paris & Europe too. 

It can be seen on front and title pages and of numerous books and magazines. In the winter season the Eiffel Tower Paris turns the first floor into white rink so skate 187 feet above the Earth gives you an unforgettable joy.
