Working closely with a number of parties, the Regency of Banyuwangi will host an International run competition, Banyuwangi International Run 2015, for the first time in the region on 17 October 2015. The International run competition titled "Run and Enjoy the Culture", with a total prize of IDR 100.000.000,0.
The race will be divided into two categories, namely the distance of 5 km and 10 km. Registration is already open from 16 September to 13 October 2015 with a registration fee of IDR 100.000 for the participants open, and IDR 25.000 for the student participants.
Based on the information of Banyuwangi regent, Anwar Abdullah Anas, an international run competition attended by 1,000 participants expected to increase government revenues (PAD) and boost the entire economy of Banyuwangi, especially from the tourism sector. The competition was initiated by businessman in mining, telecommunications, and forestry products, Sandiaga S. Uno. The participants will get benefits visiting Banyuwangi Ethno Carnival.
