Mexico City, Major Cultural and Commercial Hub of Mexico

The fascinating capital city of Mexico is known as Mexico City that entertains its visitors with countless options. In the past it was the most populated city in the world. The city dates back to the era of Aztec empire and there are still some remnants of golden age. Mexico City was captured by Spanish forces during 16th century. In 19thcentury the government declared it the capital city of new Mexican Republic after taking independence from Spain.

Mexico is one of the unique city of the world filled with some historic building and rich Mexico city history. A rich historic culture of city makes it magnificent to spend holidays in the city. In many districts of Mexico City have a mixture of old stylish buildings built during sixteenth, seventeenth, and eighteenth centuries, along-with recent skyscrapers. Zocalo is the main square which gives visitors a lot to learn about famous Aztec era history. Templo Mayor (one of the main temles of lthe Aztecs in their capital city of Tenochtitlan at that time) is one the best place to go which can give you a great remainder of the Aztec culture. Templo Mayor is located in the northeast of Zocalo (main square name in central Mexico City), or main plaza of Mexico Ctiy, in the block between Seminario and Justo Sierra streets. The square is the major hub of religious and political activities, many official ceremonies are also held here.
Bellas Artes Palace
Alameda Central is another historic spot was originally a marketplace during the Aztec rule. In 16th century the place was used as a sight of executions during Spanish era. Later this historic place converted into a large central park which remains crowded during day-time. On every Sunday night people enjoys a concert here. Chapultepec Park is the largest park in Mexico City. The park has numerous options to see such as zoo, and a museum. The whole park is surrounded by forests which makes it quite beautiful.

During journey in Mexico City Mexico, you will find no problem about transportation. Even the population is no longer makes city the largest in the world yet it still feels quite pleasant travelling in Mexico City with a superb network of bus and metro having cheap rates. The Mexico City International Airport is another landmark to visit. Soon after its renovation it became the second busiest and one of the largest in traffic Latin American Airport. Today the airport is handling well over 30 million passengers yearly. The city government unveiled a new plan for new international airport to handle the heavy air traffic.
Shopping in Mexico City is full of charm. Especially the Historic Center of Mexico City is known for low cost retailer selling. The area has numerous of shops which are selling different items such as home appliances, beautiful and stylish new designed wedding dresses, jukeboxes, large variety of jewelry, books, and photographs. Shopping in Chinatown, Koreatown, or Pequeno Seul and purchasing the traditional items will remain in your memories for a long time.

The government is completely focusing on public security. The Public Security Department known as SSP has a handsome force of 90,000 officers maintaining public order and safety in the Mexico City. To control the crime police has installed 11,000 security cameras in the city with a large expansion of the police force. These steps made the Mexico City very safe for tourists.
